About us
I am Sue Lewis the Thurmaston Library Co-ordinator and my job is to ensure we have enough volunteers to provide a much loved and valued service for the whole community.
Our Local Library was closed in July 2016 and the Community Centre fought to keep the Library Service available to all by moving it to new purpose built premises at The Community Centre on Silverdale Drive. The Library and Community Centre is fully staffed by volunteers. It is used by a nursery, school children from 3 local primary schools and a senior school for homework and research. It also provides a life line for many older people who still enjoy reading books.
We need your help so we can continue to offer and even expand our services and pay our running costs.
Please join the Lottery today. Thank you for your support and good luck!
The Library is well supported by our members and the additional help we receive from the community is always welcome.
